The Principal, Sue Middlehurst, has announced her chosen charity for 2014 will be St Andrew's Hospice and alongside the other charities we support, the Hospice will receive the proceeds from the many fundraising activities that are held throughout the year across our campuses.
St Andrew's Hospice is a charity based in North East Lincolnshire that cares for people of all ages who have life-limiting illnesses, alongside offering support for their families and loved ones.
Lynne Lemon, St Andrew’s Hospice Community Fundraiser, said:
"We're delighted that St Andrew's Hospice has been chosen by the Grimsby Institute Group's Principal as the main charity of the year. It means such a lot to us, and not just for the obvious financial benefits. We're also looking forward to creating a working link between the Hospice and the various departments at the Grimsby Institute Group. The students expertise will be of great benefit to us and we hope to give them valuable experiences to help them in their future careers.
"Another important aspect is going out in the community telling people about the work of the Hospice and what they can do to help us, we have some very exciting things planned for the year."
